During my junior year of college, I was initiated into the reestablished Gamma Nu chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta at the University of Tennessee. Joining a sorority as a junior, especially one that was reforming, felt like the perfect opportunity to take on a leadership role.

Vice President of Marketing Role

I was elected as Vice President of Marketing in November 2024 immediately following my initiation. My role as VP of Marketing was divided into three categories:

  • Social Media

  • Merchandise

  • Banners

With the assistance of my directors, I managed the Alpha Gam Instagram and TikTok accounts, designed and ordered chapter merchandise, and organized banner creation for sorority events. I frequently photographed events and edited photography for Alpha Gam socials. The achievement I am most proud of was the creation of a brand guide for the chapter as a way to maintain cohesion across all marketing platforms and materials.

The Officer Board

The Gamma Nu chapter of Alpha Gam has 13 executive positions. I had the privilege of working along side some amazing women that all shared a passion for creating a sisterhood on campus. Holding this role allowed me to collaborate with other leaders in the chapter to truly make this organization our own.

Passing the Torch

As I conclude my term this December, I am filled with gratitude that my sisters trusted me to establish the branding and messaging that represents Gamma Nu at the University of Tennessee. I greatly enjoyed applying my business knowledge gained in course work directly to my role in order to increase engagement and outreach. I am excited to see how the marketing of the chapter continues to grow and evolve, and I believe I have laid a strong foundation for my successor.
